The participation of Mrs. Phạm Hồng Trang, Commercial Consul of the Vietnamese Embassy’s Trade Office in São Paulo, at APAS Show 2025 underscored the growing mutual interest in deepening commercial relations between Brazil and Vietnam. The event, held at the largest supermarket trade show in the Americas, brought together over 200 international exhibitors and representatives from 20 countries, reaffirming its role as a strategic gateway for global business connections.
Organized in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brazil–Vietnam and supported by the presence of Victor Key, President of the Chamber, the visit allowed the Vietnamese delegation to meet with Brazilian companies, particularly importers and exporters, to identify concrete business opportunities and expand bilateral cooperation. Together, they reinforced the commitment of both countries to build lasting partnerships in the food and beverage sector.
During the event, the Vietnamese delegation showcased a range of traditional and high-value products that appeal to Brazilian consumers, including tropical fruits, coffee, tea, and specialty ingredients. Mrs. Trang highlighted the economic complementarity between the two countries: while Brazil, as Latin America’s largest economy, excels in agribusiness, energy, and manufacturing, Vietnam continues to diversify its export and import markets, creating opportunities for mutual growth.
The seminar and “Business Connection” platform at APAS Show enabled scheduled meetings between global suppliers and buyers, fostering key interactions with Vietnamese stakeholders. These discussions highlighted potential exchanges, including Brazil’s exports of beef, poultry, and cereals to Vietnam, and Vietnam’s exports of fruits, beverages, and processed foods to Brazil, demonstrating strong potential for growth in bilateral trade.

Recent years have shown significant expansion in Brazil–Vietnam trade, rising from approximately USD 500 million in the early 2010s to nearly USD 8 billion in 2024. With the elevation of diplomatic relations to a strategic partnership, both countries are exploring joint initiatives in agribusiness, infrastructure, and technology. The participation of Mrs. Trang, alongside the Chamber and Victor Key, sent a clear signal to the business community: Brazil and Vietnam are ready to strengthen collaboration and grow together.
The APAS Show 2025 provided a valuable platform for Brazilian and Vietnamese companies to connect directly, explore new partnerships, and gain insights into market trends. For importers, exporters, and industry stakeholders, the event represented not only a networking opportunity but also a gateway to a thriving, increasingly interconnected bilateral market.
