On June 26, 2024, São Paulo hosted the Brazil–Vietnam Business Forum, organized by the Brazilian Institute of International Business Relations (IBREI) in partnership with the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil. The event brought together business leaders, government representatives, and diplomatic authorities to explore new cooperation opportunities and expand commercial ties between the two nations.

The opening featured Thiago Camargo, representing the Government of São Paulo, who emphasized the importance of such forums in promoting foreign trade, innovation, and sustainable development. He highlighted the government’s role in supporting initiatives that connect Brazilian and Vietnamese businesses, fostering investments and strategic partnerships.

Maurício Prazak, President of IBREI, and Mr. Ngo Xuan Ty, Commercial Attaché of the Vietnamese Embassy, reinforced the relevance of economic cooperation and presented a global overview of bilateral business opportunities.

Among the speakers, Ricardo Cateb Cury, Vice President of International Relations at the São Paulo Commercial Association, addressed new trends in international trade. Mr. Ngo Xuan Ty also presented updated data and projections, emphasizing the complementarity of the Brazilian and Vietnamese economies.

The panel also included Adilson Vieira de Araújo, CEO of Elemar Logística; Bruno Romano, from Santa Terezinha Massas; and Marcelo Siegmann, from Seara, who shared practical experiences in the Vietnamese market.

Lilian Schiavo, President of OBME, discussed emerging sectors and women’s role in business cooperation, while Dao Xuan Nghin, CEO of AGT, shared practical recommendations for Brazilian companies interested in Vietnam.

The forum also featured Franchesco Lopez, Director of International Business at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mercosur and the Americas.

Representing the Brazil–Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President Victor Key and members Fernando Muramatsu and Rogério Kita emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to building strategic connections and supporting companies seeking international expansion.

The Brazil–Vietnam Business Forum 2024 stood out as a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations, providing a platform for exchanges, learning, and long-term cooperation.
