On September 9, the Brazil–Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry was received by Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. The meeting was also attended by representatives from various provincial departments and agencies. Representing the Chamber were Mr. Victor Key, President, and Mr. Natã Oliveira, Vice President and Chief Representative in Vietnam.
During the meeting, Mr. Victor Key highlighted the steady growth of Brazil–Vietnam relations, which open up new opportunities for bilateral business and investment. He emphasized that Brazil, with its strong agricultural sector, can provide strategic inputs for Bac Ninh, particularly in animal feed production, an area of high potential and demand in the province. He also reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting Vietnamese companies interested in the Brazilian market and to building solid connections that strengthen economic cooperation.
Mr. Pham Van Thinh praised the Chamber’s interest in Bac Ninh and outlined the province’s strengths, including its feed, paper, packaging, and high-tech electronics industries. He noted that the strategic locations of Vietnam in Asia and Brazil in South America create mutual opportunities for regional market access, reinforcing the complementarity between the two economies.
He also encouraged the Chamber to continue close cooperation with local departments, business associations and potential Brazilian investors to develop concrete projects in high technology, innovation, research and the green economy.
In addition to industrial and agricultural cooperation, the meeting discussed possible partnerships in processing and preserving agricultural products such as fruits and poultry, as well as boosting exports of Vietnamese goods to Brazil. To date, Bac Ninh has attracted nine non-governmental cooperation projects from Brazil, totaling nearly USD 89,000, focusing on health and education.
As a gesture of friendship, Mr. Pham Van Thinh presented the Chamber’s delegation with Dong Ho folk paintings and dried Luc Ngan lychees, well-known local products.
This meeting reinforced the Chamber’s role as a strategic bridge connecting Vietnamese and Brazilian businesses, promoting sustainable development and expanding economic integration between the two countries.
