The Executive President of the Representative Office in Vietnam of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber (BVC), Dionathan Santos, stated in an interview with Industry and Trade News that the 2025 Autumn Fair represents a “golden era” to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Brazil and Vietnam, reinforcing both nations’ strategic roles in the global economy.
According to Santos, the fair — one of the most influential business events in Southeast Asia — provides an ideal platform to build commercial connections, attract investment, and foster technological and sustainable partnerships. “This is not merely a fair; it is a forum for economic cooperation and dialogue. Vietnam is one of Brazil’s key strategic partners in Asia, and Brazil is the largest economy in South America. This is the golden moment to expand our bilateral relations,” he said.
Strategic cooperation in key sectors
Created to act as a bridge between the business communities of both countries, the Brazil Vietnam Chamber has been dedicated to promoting balanced and sustainable trade opportunities. Santos emphasized that the Chamber is focusing on high-tech agriculture, clean energy, logistics, and food processing, sectors that reflect the economic strengths of both nations.
“Brazil is a global leader in renewable energy, with over 80% of its electricity generated from green sources. This expertise can help Vietnam achieve its sustainability and low-emission growth goals,” he noted. He also highlighted cooperation potential in biotechnology and veterinary solutions, where Brazil can transfer knowledge to boost productivity and the quality of Vietnam’s agricultural production.
A new phase in bilateral relations
According to Santos, Brazil–Vietnam relations are entering a new phase that will be more solid, diversified, and sustainable. The two economies are highly complementary: Brazil has strengths in agriculture, energy, and natural resources, while Vietnam stands out in processing industries, digital technology, and logistics.
The BVC is currently working closely with the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade to implement trade promotion programs, connect companies from both sides, and support investment cooperation projects. “The Ministry is a professional partner with a long-term vision, always creating favorable conditions for international cooperation,” Santos said.
In the coming years, the Chamber plans to expand its activities in renewable energy, digital transformation, and human resource development, strengthening a relationship based not only on trade but on a long-term strategic partnership.
“I am confident that Brazil and Vietnam will advance toward a green, fair, and prosperous future,” he concluded.
