On March 28, 2025, amid a period of intensifying bilateral relations, the Vice President of the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Natã Oliveira, met in Hanoi with the Ambassador of Vietnam to Brazil, Mr. Bui Van Nghi, for a working lunch that marked another important step in economic cooperation between the two nations. The meeting took place in the same week that the President of Brazil made an official visit to Vietnam, participating in a high-level meeting with the Vietnamese Prime Minister, aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership, expanding trade, and promoting new investments in areas of mutual interest, such as agriculture, energy, and technology.
During the lunch, Mr. Natã Oliveira and Mr. Bui Van Nghi discussed the growing potential of Brazilian exports to Vietnam, particularly in the agribusiness, processed food, and technology-based sectors, as well as opportunities for Vietnamese companies seeking to expand their presence in the South American market. Another key point of the conversation was Brazil’s new political and economic phase, characterized by structural reforms, trade liberalization, and innovation incentives—factors that attract Asian partners and reinforce international confidence in the country.
Mr. Natã Oliveira highlighted the active role of the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce as a bridge between entrepreneurs and government institutions, fostering constant dialogue to facilitate investments and eliminate trade barriers. Mr. Bui Van Nghi emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation and cultural and educational exchange as the foundation for a solid and long-lasting relationship. He reiterated the Vietnamese government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen Brazil’s presence in the country and promote bilateral trade.
The March 28, 2025 meeting was considered highly productive and signals a new phase in Brazil-Vietnam relations, marked by mutual trust, strategic vision, and shared interest in sustainable development and international economic integration.
