On September 2, 2025, in Hanoi, the “Meeting and Appreciation of International Friends” program was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The event, organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant government agencies, aimed to express the deep gratitude of the Party, the State, and the Vietnamese people for the solidarity and support of international friends throughout the country’s history.

The meeting was attended by Vietnamese authorities, including Comrade Đỗ Văn Chiến, Politburo member and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Party Secretary and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Hoài Trung; and Phan Anh Sơn, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations. Representatives of ministries, political and social organizations, businesses, and nearly 100 international delegates also attended, including the Vice President of the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Natã Oliveira.

During the event, the Friendship Medal, awarded by the President of Vietnam, and certificates of recognition from the Prime Minister were presented to organizations and individuals who have significantly contributed to the country’s development. Natã Oliveira, representing the international business community, highlighted the importance of cooperation and dialogue between Brazilian and Vietnamese companies, emphasizing the role of the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce as a bridge between investors and government institutions.

In his speech, Đỗ Văn Chiến thanked international friends for their support in the historical struggles for independence and in building modern Vietnam, highlighting the country’s efforts to achieve, by 2030, modern industrial development and upper-middle income, and by 2045, to become a high-income developed nation. The event also reinforced the message that Vietnam is a reliable and committed partner in the international community, valuing the contributions of its international friends in all areas.

The meeting represented a moment of recognition, cooperation, and strengthening of relations between Vietnam and the international community, and highlighted the active role of leaders and businesspeople, such as Natã Oliveira, in promoting cultural, diplomatic, and commercial exchanges.
