From October 21 to 23, 2025, São Paulo hosted one of Latin America’s most important events dedicated to the fisheries and aquaculture industry, the Seafood Show, which brought together leaders and representatives from various countries to discuss trends, technologies, and opportunities in the international seafood trade.

For the first time, Vietnam’s seafood companies participated in the fair, showcasing their products, technologies, and expertise to the Brazilian market. Their participation had the support of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, which actively promoted Vietnam’s seafood sector and helped facilitate connections with Brazilian importers, distributors, and institutions.

Representing the Chamber, Mr. Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, attended the event and met with Mr. Ricardo Torres, President and organizer of the Seafood Show, to discuss new ways of collaboration aimed at further strengthening trade relations between the two countries.

The Seafood Show was an excellent opportunity to showcase this potential and open new doors for bilateral trade. We believe this is just the beginning of an even stronger and more dynamic partnership between Brazil and Vietnam in this sector,” said Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber.

The Vietnamese entrepreneurs shared very positive feedback, highlighting the quality of the event, the interest of Brazilian companies, and the vibrant business environment of São Paulo. They emphasized that their participation in the fair was a valuable opportunity to better understand the Brazilian market and identify potential long-term partners.

Encouraged by the warm reception and promising business opportunities identified during the fair, Vietnam’s seafood companies confirmed their intention to return for the next edition of the Seafood Show in Brazil.

The Brazil Vietnam Chamber expressed its gratitude to Mr. Ricardo Torres for his warm welcome and excellent organization of the event, as well as to ABRAPES (Brazilian Association for the Promotion of Fish) for its collaboration and support in strengthening trade and investment in the seafood sector.
