Vietnam marked a significant presence at the sixth edition of ANUGA Select Brazil, an international food and beverage trade fair held from April 8 to 10, 2025, at the Anhembi Exhibition Center in São Paulo. The event brought together over 500 companies from 23 countries and attracted around 16,000 visitors from 33 nations, establishing itself as one of the main meeting points for the sector in the continent.
Organized by the Vietnam Trade Office in Brazil, the Vietnamese pavilion was one of the highlights of the fair, presenting typical products such as phở, instant noodles, canned foods, chocolates with dried fruits, teas, coffees, and nutritious cereals. Among the participating companies, Vifon and Tan Nhat Huong stood out, attracting public attention and potential business partners, demonstrating the diversity and competitiveness of the Vietnamese industry.
On April 9, the seminar “Business Opportunities between Vietnam and Brazil” was held, attended by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil, Bùi Văn Nghị, accompanied by Mrs. Trang. In his speech, the ambassador highlighted the progress of bilateral relations since 1989 and the recent upgrade to Strategic Partnership, announced in November 2024. He also mentioned President Lula’s official visit to Vietnam from March 27 to 29, 2025, which resulted in the 2025-2030 Strategic Partnership Action Program.
The seminar brought together businesspeople and institutional representatives from both countries, expressing the desire to increase bilateral trade to USD 10 billion over the next two years. One of the speakers was Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, who highlighted the opportunities in bilateral trade and recent advances in diplomatic relations between Brazil and Vietnam. On the Brazilian side, sectors such as beef, poultry, and grains were identified as major export opportunities. On the Vietnamese side, products such as seafood, textiles, footwear, processed foods, and machinery find a strategic alternative market in Brazil.

The head of the Vietnamese Trade Office, Phạm Hồng Trang, emphasized the economic complementarity between the two countries: while Brazil is the largest economy in Latin America with strong agricultural and energy sectors, Vietnam is a dynamic Asian production hub, excelling in electronics, textiles, food processing, and logistics.
The presence of Alexandre Amaral, Marcelle Tores, and Paulo Lam, members of the Chamber, was also essential, actively contributing to connecting companies, fostering dialogue, and strengthening the commitment to expand bilateral partnerships.
ANUGA Select Brazil 2025 reinforced the importance of joining efforts, overcoming challenges such as geographical distance, and promoting initiatives that bring Brazil and Vietnam closer. With the new Strategic Partnership, the coming years promise growth and new business opportunities, benefiting entrepreneurs and strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
