On April 16, 2025, Victor Key, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brazil-Vietnam, visited the JBS headquarters in São Paulo, accompanied by Ms. Trang, representative of the Vietnamese Trade Office. The meeting included the presence of Renato Costa, President of Friboi, and focused on strengthening commercial relations between the two countries, especially following the reopening of the Vietnamese market to Brazilian beef.
Vietnam, which imports around 300,000 tons of beef annually, represents a promising market for Brazilian exporters. The reopening of the Vietnamese market, announced in March 2025, is the result of joint diplomatic and commercial efforts aimed at expanding bilateral trade and reinforcing the Strategic Partnership established between the two nations.
The consul’s visit to JBS symbolizes an important step in consolidating trade relations between Brazil and Vietnam, highlighting the mutual commitment to exploring business and investment opportunities in the agricultural sector. With the resumption of beef exports to Vietnam, a significant increase in bilateral trade is expected, benefiting producers and consumers in both countries.
