02/07/2026

On July 1, 2026, São Paulo hosted the Brazil Vietnam Business Dinner, an event organized by the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil, in partnership with the Brazil Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BVC) and support from the Brazilian Institute of International Business Relations (IBREI). Held at Saigon Restaurante, the dinner brought together businesspeople interested in deepening their engagement with the Vietnamese market and learning the details of the Vietnam Business Mission 2026, scheduled for September 1 to 9 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Presentations and Highlights of the Evening

The program opened with remarks by Pham Hong Trang, Commercial Counsellor at the Vietnam Trade Office in São Paulo, followed by Maurício Prazak, President of IBREI. Next, Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, presented an overview of the Vietnamese economy and the opportunities tied to the business mission, with a focus on the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026, a trade fair expected to gather more than 500 exhibitors at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center from September 3 to 5. The presentation in São Paulo highlighted key figures of the Vietnamese economy, including the US$ 7.7 billion in bilateral trade recorded in 2025 and the US$ 15 billion target set by both governments for 2030.

Bruno Romano, Managing Director at Green Life, complemented the program with a practical case study on how to succeed in doing business in Vietnam, offering a firsthand perspective from someone who navigates the local market daily. Closing remarks were delivered by Teresa Trang, who reinforced the invitation for attendees to join the Brazilian delegation in September.

Enthusiasm for Vietnam and the Culinary Experience

Beyond the institutional content, the dinner served as a genuine immersion into Vietnamese culture. Attendees expressed surprise and growing interest upon hearing about the country’s business opportunities, particularly in light of data such as GDP growth and Vietnam’s position as a new global industrial hub, driven by the relocation of international production chains.

Gastronomy played a central role in the experience. Among the dishes served, traditional pho, the iconic Vietnamese rice noodle soup, was a unanimous favorite among guests, who praised its balance of flavors and authenticity. For many participants, this was their first direct contact with Vietnamese culinary culture, reinforcing the multisensory character of the event, which brought together business, diplomacy, and culture in a single evening.

Next Steps

The Brazil Vietnam Business Dinner is part of the calendar of preparatory activities for the Vietnam Business Mission 2026, which will take Brazilian businesspeople to Ho Chi Minh City from September 1 to 9, with a special focus on participation in the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo. The Brazil Vietnam Chamber continues to accept registrations and answer questions from businesspeople interested in joining the delegation, reinforcing its role as an institutional bridge between Brazilian entrepreneurs and the Vietnamese market.
