Institutional support for VASEP, engagement with ABRAPES, and assistance to exhibitors reinforce BVC’s commitment to strengthening trade relations between Brazil and Vietnam.
From October 20 to 22, 2026, Vietnam participated in Seafood Show, held at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, with a delegation of 15 seafood companies organized by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
The participation provided an opportunity to expand the presence of Vietnamese companies in the Brazilian market, showcase their products, and establish contacts with potential commercial partners in one of the world’s major food-consuming markets.
The Brazil Vietnam Chamber (BVC) provided institutional support for the initiative, helping bring together seafood industry organizations from both countries and assisting the Vietnamese delegation throughout its participation in the event.
Institutional Presence and Support for the Delegation
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Vietnam to Brazil, Mr. Bui Van Nghi, and Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber.

The diplomatic presence and BVC’s participation reinforced the institutional significance of the initiative and highlighted the importance of cooperation between business organizations in expanding bilateral economic relations.
As an organization dedicated to promoting trade relations between Brazil and Vietnam, BVC works to facilitate dialogue among companies, industry associations, and institutions, helping identify opportunities and develop long-term partnerships.
Engagement with Brazilian Organizations and Support for Exhibitors
During Seafood Show, BVC supported institutional engagement between VASEP and the Brazilian Association for the Promotion of Fish and Seafood (ABRAPES), helping strengthen ties between organizations representing the seafood industries in both countries.

The Chamber also provided local support to the Vietnamese delegation during the exhibition. Mr. Paulo Lam, representing BVC, assisted the exhibitors, helping participating companies navigate the Brazilian business environment.
This work reflects BVC’s role as a bridge between Brazilian and Vietnamese companies and institutions, facilitating dialogue, information exchange, and connections with potential commercial partners.
VASEP’s Participation in the Technical Program
Vietnam’s presence also extended to Seafood Show’s conference program.
Ms. To Thi Tuong Lan, Deputy Secretary General of VASEP, participated in Arena Talks, in the panel “The Global Seafood Industry: Challenges and Opportunities in Major Producing Regions,” contributing the Vietnamese perspective to discussions on the international seafood industry.

BVC supported the coordination efforts that enabled her participation in the panel, helping strengthen VASEP’s institutional presence in the event’s discussions and expand opportunities for industry representatives to exchange knowledge and perspectives.
BVC as a Bridge for Business Between Brazil and Vietnam
Supporting Vietnam’s participation in Seafood Show is aligned with the Brazil Vietnam Chamber’s mission to promote and facilitate trade relations, investment, and strategic partnerships between the two countries.
The Chamber’s activities include connecting companies, engaging with industry organizations, supporting business missions, and facilitating contacts that may develop into concrete business opportunities.
Initiatives such as this also help improve mutual understanding of both markets, bring business organizations closer together, and create conditions for more structured commercial cooperation.
By supporting VASEP and Vietnamese companies at Seafood Show 2026, the Brazil Vietnam Chamber reaffirms its commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations and building sustainable business connections between Brazil and Vietnam.
