The Brazil Vietnam Chamber (BVC) held, on July 29, in São Paulo, the business meeting “Vietnam: Opportunities for Brazilian Companies in One of Asia’s Most Dynamic Markets.” Held at Portal do Morumbi, the event brought together more than 45 businesspeople, as well as executives and institutional representatives interested in learning more about the Vietnamese market and identifying new opportunities for business, investment and cooperation between Brazil and Vietnam.
The initiative received institutional support from DBI Consulting and the Commercial Office of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Brazil, reinforcing the importance of bringing together the private sector and institutions working to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Organized by BVC, the meeting aimed to provide Brazilian businesspeople with an overview of Vietnam, covering economic aspects, business opportunities, tourism and the country’s cultural characteristics. The program also provided an environment for networking and the exchange of experiences among participants.
Commercial Office highlights potential of Brazil-Vietnam relations
The opening of the meeting featured the special participation of Ms. Pham Hong Trang, Commercial Counselor at the Commercial Office of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Brazil.

In her remarks, the Vietnamese representative highlighted the favorable momentum of Brazil-Vietnam relations and the importance of expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The participation of the Commercial Office provided attendees with an opportunity to learn about the Vietnamese perspective on bilateral relations and the paths available to Brazilian companies seeking to expand their presence in the Vietnamese market.
The presence of a representative from the commercial division of the Vietnamese diplomatic mission also reinforced the business-oriented nature of the meeting and the importance of direct engagement between companies and institutions from both countries.
Discovering Vietnam from north to south
Next, Maria Helena Afonso, Director of DBI Consulting, presented the lecture “The Beauty of Vietnam – From North to South.”
The presentation took participants through different regions and destinations across the country, including Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta and Phu Quoc.

In addition to presenting Vietnam’s tourism potential, the presentation helped participants gain a better understanding of the country’s culture and diversity, important aspects for businesspeople seeking to develop long-term relationships with Vietnamese partners.
The presentation highlighted that Vietnam receives approximately 21.2 million international tourists per year, a figure higher than Brazil’s approximately 9.2 million international visitors.
The presentation also showed how tourism can serve as a gateway to understanding the country, helping Brazilian businesspeople develop a broader perception of Vietnam’s economic, cultural and social characteristics.
BVC presents economic outlook and business opportunities
Concluding the presentation segment, Victor Key, President of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, presented an overview of Vietnam’s economy and the main opportunities identified for Brazilian companies.

The presentation highlighted the country’s rapid economic transformation, its growing integration into global production chains and Vietnam’s increasingly important role as an industrial hub and business platform in Asia.
With a nominal GDP of approximately US$514 billion and foreign trade close to US$930 billion, Vietnam has been attracting international investment and consolidating a strong industrial base, with the presence of major global companies such as Samsung, Apple, Nike and Intel.
According to Victor Key, Vietnam’s industrialization process and integration into global value chains have created opportunities for companies of different sizes and sectors, both through international trade and through partnerships, investments and the supply of products and services.
Brazil-Vietnam trade relations
During his presentation, the BVC President also provided an overview of trade relations between the two countries.
In 2025, bilateral trade between Brazil and Vietnam reached approximately US$7.7 billion, while the two countries are working toward the goal of reaching US$15 billion by 2030.
This scenario demonstrates the potential for further growth in bilateral relations and the possibility of expanding and diversifying the trade agenda.
Among the sectors considered promising for Brazilian companies were agribusiness, animal protein, renewable energy, industrial inputs, services, franchises and agricultural commodities, including soybeans, corn, cotton and coffee.
The presentation also highlighted the possibility of expanding bilateral trade beyond commodities, with greater participation in manufactured goods, services, technology, investments and business partnerships.
BVC presents Vietnam Business Mission 2026
During the meeting, BVC also presented the Vietnam Business Mission 2026, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from September 1 to 9, with a focus on participation in the Vietnam Sourcing Expo 2026.
The mission is part of the Chamber’s initiatives to connect Brazilian companies with the Vietnamese market and create concrete business opportunities.
The Vietnam Sourcing Expo 2026 will bring together suppliers and buyers from different sectors, including food and beverages, furniture and home décor, household goods, fashion and accessories, and supply chain solutions.
Participation in the mission will allow Brazilian businesspeople to gain first-hand knowledge of the Vietnamese business environment, visit companies and establish contacts with potential suppliers, buyers and business partners.
For BVC, business missions are an important tool for transforming interest in the Vietnamese market into concrete contacts and business opportunities.
Networking and exchange of experiences
Following the presentations, participants had the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers and with the representative of the Commercial Office of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Brazil during a Q&A session.
Topics discussed included logistics, taxation, cultural aspects, market entry and sector-specific opportunities.
The meeting also provided a networking environment for businesspeople and institutional representatives. The presence of more than 45 businesspeople demonstrated the growing interest of the Brazilian private sector in Vietnam and in the business opportunities available in the country.
In addition to the content presented, the format of the meeting encouraged the exchange of contacts and experiences and opened the door to new discussions and potential cooperation between Brazilian and Vietnamese companies.
Vietnamese gastronomy and culture
The program also featured a special culinary experience prepared for the participants.
Terra & Mar restaurant, responsible for the soup buffet during the evening, specially prepared traditional Vietnamese Pho for the occasion, giving guests the opportunity to experience one of the country’s best-known dishes.
The initiative complemented the purpose of the meeting, which sought to present Vietnam to Brazilian businesspeople in a comprehensive manner, combining business, economics, tourism and culture.
The culinary experience also created an informal moment for participants to connect, contributing to making the meeting an experience that went beyond the formal presentations.
BVC strengthens its role in bringing the two countries closer
The meeting is part of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber’s strategy to expand knowledge about Vietnam among Brazilian businesspeople and create new bridges between companies, institutions and potential partners from both countries.
By organizing business meetings, trade missions and networking initiatives, BVC seeks to contribute to an increasingly diversified bilateral relationship, connecting Brazilian companies with one of Asia’s most dynamic markets.
The meeting held in São Paulo reinforced the perception that there is significant room to expand business and trade relations between Brazil and Vietnam, particularly in sectors where the two countries have complementary strengths and growth potential.
BVC would like to thank DBI Consulting for its support in organizing the event, the Commercial Office of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Brazil for its institutional support, Portal do Morumbi for hosting the meeting, and Terra & Mar restaurant for its partnership and contribution to the event’s culinary experience.
