Initiative strengthens business ties between Brazil and Vietnam and expands opportunities for trade, sourcing and cooperation
The Brazil Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Brazil Vietnam Chamber – BVC) carried out the Vietnam Business Mission 2026 in September 2026, with the objective of strengthening connections between Brazilian and Vietnamese companies and creating new opportunities for trade, sourcing, investment and business cooperation.
The mission’s main destination was the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, one of Vietnam’s leading platforms for connecting Vietnamese companies, international buyers and global supply chains.
The initiative was organized by the BVC, which was responsible for mobilizing and coordinating the Brazilian business delegation, in partnership with the Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MOIT), which supported the coordination and organization of the local program.
This joint effort between Brazilian and Vietnamese institutions was essential in providing businesspeople with a structured agenda for networking, business meetings and first-hand knowledge of the Vietnamese market.
Brazilian Presence at Vietnam International Sourcing 2026
One of the main highlights of the mission was participation in the Vietnam International Sourcing 2026, held in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Brazilian delegation attended the official opening ceremony and a program of B2B meetings with Vietnamese companies, as well as networking activities and an exhibition tour. On September 3 and 4, several matchmaking sessions were held involving Brazilian companies and potential Vietnamese partners.
The Chamber was also responsible for organizing the Brazilian presence and setting up the Brazil Stand, which served as a reference point for the delegation and as a platform for connecting Brazilian businesspeople, Vietnamese companies and international participants at the event.

The institutional presence of Brazil at an international sourcing platform reinforces the Chamber’s commitment to expanding the participation of Brazilian companies in the Vietnamese market while also presenting Brazil as a strategic market for Vietnamese companies seeking to expand their businesses in Latin America.
Connections That Go Beyond the Expo
One of the distinguishing features of the Vietnam Business Mission 2026 was the continuation of the program after the expo activities concluded.
On September 5, the delegation participated in a conference on trade, supply chain connectivity, international trade and e-commerce, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province.

The program also included networking and B2B meetings, followed by technical visits to an important port facility and a company in the food sector.
This stage enabled Brazilian businesspeople to gain a broader understanding of Vietnam’s infrastructure and its capacity to meet the demands of global supply chains.
Technical Visits and Sector-Specific Business Development
Over the following days, the mission moved forward with a program of technical visits organized according to the participants’ business interests.
Activities covered sectors such as agribusiness, animal feed, chemicals, bakery ingredients, confectionery, food, logistics, plastics, packaging and other industrial segments.
The visits enabled Brazilian businesspeople to directly observe industrial facilities, production processes, storage structures, suppliers and distribution channels.

This face-to-face approach is particularly relevant for companies seeking to develop new sources of supply or establish long-term business relationships.
The strategy adopted by the Chamber is based on a simple premise: business relationships need to move beyond the identification of potential partners toward a thorough understanding of their operations and capabilities.
The Importance of Local Organization
The mission was supported by an important local structure in Vietnam.
The Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, played an important role in coordinating the local program and connecting the Brazilian delegation with Vietnam’s business ecosystem.
This institutional cooperation made it possible to integrate the BVC’s business agenda with important trade promotion initiatives and efforts to connect with Vietnam’s global supply chains.
The joint effort also reinforced the bilateral nature of the initiative: on one side, the BVC connected Brazilian companies with opportunities in Vietnam; on the other, Vietnamese institutions facilitated Brazilian businesspeople’s access to the local market and suppliers.
A Mission Focused on Building Business
The program was organized to address different business interests and enable each participant to further explore specific opportunities.
While some groups focused their activities on animal feed and raw materials, others pursued opportunities in chemicals, ingredients, food, packaging and other areas of interest.

This format enabled a more targeted approach, connecting Brazilian buyers with potential Vietnamese suppliers and business partners.
The mission also enabled participants to identify opportunities that can be further developed through negotiations, samples, qualification and approval processes, additional visits and new business contacts.
The Role of the Brazil Vietnam Chamber
The Vietnam Business Mission 2026 reinforces the role of the BVC as an institution dedicated to building business bridges between the two countries.
The Chamber’s activities included organizing the delegation, coordinating participation in the Vietnam International Sourcing, structuring the Brazil Stand, supporting B2B meetings and coordinating the various activities on the business agenda.
The presence of Chamber representatives accompanying the different groups also ensured closer support for participants during technical visits and business meetings.

This work is part of the Chamber’s ongoing strategy to facilitate Brazilian companies’ access to the Vietnamese market and support Vietnamese companies interested in understanding and accessing the Brazilian market.
Brazil and Vietnam: New Opportunities for Cooperation
The mission took place at a time of growing business ties between Brazil and Vietnam.
The complementary characteristics of the two economies create opportunities in different areas, including trade, agribusiness, food, manufacturing, technology, logistics, supply chains and investment.
During his participation in the Vietnam International Sourcing, the Chamber’s Vice President, Natã Oliveira, highlighted to Tuổi Trẻ the importance of bringing businesspeople from the two markets closer together and enabling buyers to visit Vietnamese suppliers in person.
According to Natã’s perspective, building sustainable business relationships depends on mutual understanding: Brazilian companies need to understand the capabilities and conditions of Vietnamese suppliers, while Vietnamese companies need to better understand the characteristics and needs of the Brazilian market.
This vision was reflected throughout the mission.
A Business Bridge Between Two Markets
The Vietnam Business Mission 2026 represents another step toward building a permanent business agenda between Brazil and Vietnam.
By bringing together participation in an international expo, B2B meetings, networking, institutional meetings and technical visits, the initiative created opportunities for Brazilian businesspeople not only to learn about the Vietnamese market but also to establish relationships that can evolve into future commercial operations and partnerships.
For the Brazil Vietnam Chamber, this is the main purpose of its international initiatives: to reduce distances, bring companies closer together, facilitate connections and create the conditions for sustainable business development between the two countries.
The Vietnam Business Mission 2026 therefore reaffirms the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening economic and business relations between Brazil and Vietnam and to creating new opportunities for cooperation within global trade and investment value chains.
