Partnership will include the creation of a cultural and sports promotion program for university students in 2027

On September 30, 2026, the Brazil-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BVC) held a meeting with the Department of Portuguese Language at Hanoi University (HANU) to discuss new initiatives for cultural and sports cooperation between Brazil and Vietnam.

The meeting is part of the cooperation relationship that the BVC has been developing with Hanoi University over the past few years, contributing to closer ties between Brazilian and Vietnamese institutions and strengthening cultural exchanges between the two countries.

During the meeting, it was agreed to establish, in 2027, a cultural and sports promotion program for students at Hanoi University, combining activities related to Brazilian culture with the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The initiative aims to provide Vietnamese students with a broader experience of Brazilian culture, combining Portuguese language learning and promotion with cultural and sports activities. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will also serve as a tool for exchange and closer connections between young people from the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Natã Oliveira, Head of the BVC Representative Office in Vietnam, and Fernando Muramatsu, Vice President of the BVC, representing the BVC, and Ms. Nguyễn Vũ Thu Hà, Head of the Department of Portuguese Language at Hanoi University, representing HANU.

The new initiative reinforces the BVC’s commitment to developing bridges of cooperation between Brazil and Vietnam in culture, education and sports, expanding opportunities for exchange and bringing the younger generations of both countries closer together.

For the BVC, promoting Brazilian culture in Vietnam, together with Portuguese language education and sports, represents an important tool for strengthening people-to-people ties and building long-term relations between Brazil and Vietnam.
